Grow In Faith

Faith is to believe what you do not see. The reward of this faith is to see what you believe.

Count Your Blessing

Images by Rachel Awes

Count your blessings instead of your crosses
Count your gains instead of your losses
Count your joys instead of your woes
Count your friends instead of your foes
Count your smiles instead of your tears
Count your courage instead of your fears
Count your full years instead of your lean
Count your kind deeds instead of your mean
Count your health instead of your wealth
Count on God instead of yourself

Trees of Wisdom

Tree is one of God's amazing creations. A tree consists of five main parts: roots, leaves, trunks, branches and fruits. Below are few quotes about God and trees.

We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature - trees, flowers, grass- grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence. We need silence to be able to touch souls.
Mother Teresa
I thank you God for this most amazing day, for the leaping greenly spirits of trees, and for the blue dream of sky and for everything which is natural, which is infinite, which is yes.
E. E. Cummings
God writes the Gospel not in the Bible alone, but also on trees, and in the flowers and clouds and stars.
Martin Luther

Magical Christmas In 1Borneo - 2008

In three days time time, we are going to welcome the Magical December and it will embark the beginning of Christmas Season. Hohoho! Earlier this morning, as I was browsing my old picture files, I saw these beautiful photos taken on December 25, 2008. My friend, Debby and I were celebrating 2008 Christmas with Hannah and her family in Kota Kinabalu. Both of us dearly missed our families in Sarawak (the southern part of Borneo). The Christmas celebration in the big city was quite different from our humble villages. On the Christmas Day, Hannah and her family brought us to the newly opened hyper mall, 1Borneo. As a village maiden, I was mesmerized by the massiveness of the mall. I was like, "WOW!". Magical Christmas was their theme for that year. Indeed, the decorations were magical. But still deep inside my heart, I missed celebrating Christmas with my family at our little home of love. Yeah I had nothing such as big mall with magical Christmas decorations at home but my family was there. And no other place as perfectly beautiful as our own home for celebrating Christmas. This year 2014, I'll be going home to celebrate Christmas with my lovely family. Now let us start counting the days before Christmas.

Below are the Magical Christmas photos taken at 1Borneo on December 25, 2008. Enjoy!

The Journey From Menumbok To Labuan Island

Hello again!
Today I am going to share about my exciting journey in somewhere of November 2008. Yeah I know. It was six years ago. Back then I was young, fun and some sort of silly. I was 18 what. My friends and I were on our way back from Membakut, Sabah to the beautiful Labuan after three days camp. We were exhausted but the three hours ferry experience was a worth to try. The ferry is really big with lots of people. Along the way, we enjoyed the breathtaking scenery of sunset and cool evening breeze. We took lots and lots of pictures on the deck. I don't know what else to share. The scenery was just breathtakingly beautiful. We were mesmerized at the beauty of Mother Nature and in our hearts we silently prayed to thank God for His amazing creation. Below are the pictures that I took along throughout the three hours journey. Enjoy!

The ferry. It's old and big.

Look at the clouds. The look like a massive white fluffy cotton candy.

Love, Rosie

God this book is like a drug. I was intoxicated in the beautifully, honestly and wittily written emails and letters of  Rosie Dunne and Alex Stewart. It took me 3 days to finish reading the book and I LOVE it! Cecelia Ahern you are beyond good in writing. I couldn't wait to read your latest book, The Year I Met You.

“You deserve someone who loves you with every single beat of his heart, someone who thinks about you constantly, someone who spends every minute of every day just wondering what you’re doing, where you are, who you’re with, and if you’re OK. You need someone who can help you reach your dreams and protect you from your fears. You need someone who will treat you with respect, love every part of you, especially your flaws. You should be with someone who could make you happy, really happy, dancing on air happy.”
- Alex Stewart

Life is funny, isn’t it? Just when you think you’ve got it all figured out, just when you finally begin to plan something, get excited about it and feel like you know what direction you’re heading in, the paths change, the signs change, the wind blows the other way, North is suddenly South, and East is West and you’re lost. It is so easy to lose your way, to lose direction.”

- Rosie Dunne

“Twice we stood beside each other at the altar, Rosie. Twice. And twice we got it wrong. I needed you to be there for my wedding day but I was too stupid to see that I needed you to be the reason for my wedding day. But we got it all wrong.”
- Alex Stewart

"At first we had so much to catch up on we were talking a hundred words a second, barely even listening to the ends of one another’s sentences before moving onto the next. And there was laughing. Lots of laughing. Then the laughing stopped and there was this silence."
- Rosie Dunne

Baby The Cat

via shetakesflight
Our very first cat, Baby died last Saturday (08/11/2014). It was truly heartbreaking. I was away from home. I couldn't be at Baby's side during the last moment of her life. Baby was so young. She was barely 8 months old. Baby came into our lives as a blessing. She was our bundle of joy. Rest in peace Baby. Thank you for coming into our lives as a bundle of joy even if it was just for a while. You will be dearly missed by us. You'll always stay inside our hearts as a brilliant beautiful kitty.

I Should Be a Teacher

When I was a kid, my ambition was to be a TEACHER. My teachers at school were my source of inspiration. Every day, they never failed to impress me with their determination and uplifting spirit. The joy and the bright smile on their faces were shown as if they really enjoyed what they are doing. My teachers were like my second parents. Back then, I considered myself as a bright student. I became the teacher's pet. My very first teachers was Miss Camilla. She was my kindergarten teacher. She taught me ABC and 123. She encouraged me to be passionate in drawing (I am quite good at drawing). When I entered Primary and Secondary Schools, more teachers entered my life. Some were so warm and friendly while some not. They were so different in terms of appearance and personality. Regardless the difference, I knew deep inside their hearts, they shared the same passion to educate their students to be a better person. They were my TEACHERS. Who am I today, I owe to my great TEACHERS.

A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love of learning.
(Brad Henry)

Good teachers know how to bring out the best in students.
(Charles Kuralt)

A good teacher is like a candle — it consumes itself to light the way for others.
(Mustafa Kemal Atatürk)

I may not have the chance to be a teacher but that ambition will always stay inside my heart. The passion will always burn as an eternal flame. I was so grateful when I was given a chance to be a substitute teacher at a rural school (Sekolah Kebangsaan Payau, Serian). That was one of the best moment in my life. Being able to share my knowledge with my students were something I will cherish throughout my life. Believe me, I still wish I could be a real teacher someday.

Central Market (Pasar Seni)

Central Market is located at Jalan Hang Kasturi, Kuala Lumpur. It is in walking distance from Pasar Seni LRT Station and Petaling Street. It began life as a wet market in 1888. In 2004, it was transformed into tourist attraction and shopping destination. Today, it become the Centre for Malaysian Culture, Heritage, Art & Craft. The market opens daily from 10.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m. Here you can do photo taking and shopping for souvenirs (batik, T-shirt, Malaysian handicrafts, paintings, postcards). Don't forget to treat your taste buds with Malaysian cuisine at the food court. You must come to this place once you visit Kuala Lumpur. Below are some photos I took outside and inside the market. Enjoy the photos!
