St. Francis Xavier is a Roman Catholic Church built in 1856. The white twin-spired neo-gothic church is located at Jalan Gereja, just behind the Christ Church. The church was built by a French priest in honor of St. Francis Xavier, the great missionary who arrived at Malacca to serve the sick and the children here. He is also known as the "Apostle of the East". The missionary was playing an important role in spreading Christianity in Asia.
